"There is no branch of mathematics, however abstract, which may not someday be applied to the phenomena of the real world."-- Nicolai Lobachevsky

Hello, Parents and students.
Here are a few tidbits about myself. My name is Marya Willis and I am a Special Education Teacher who will also be obtaining a dual certification in Regular Education k-5. I am currently enrolled in a Master's program at New Jersey City University in their Special Education department. Once completed I will be a certified Learning Consultant. I have been teaching for about three years. I actually feel like I have more years than that under my belt. I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I can remember. Realizing this dream and being in a career that I want to be in makes all the difference in the world. I truly believe it makes you a better teacher.
Currently, I am teaching all subjects not just math. It can be a challenge, because I teach using the same curriculum as all the other 7th grade teachers. Most of my students are not on the same learning level as their classmates, which makes me become more creative in my teaching style. I have to differentiate my instruction and provide multiple ways for my kids to learn. I myself am learning with them. Everyday that I teach I learn something new with my students.
